Chanting as Breathing Practice

By listening to the chanting from the recording below, I am decreasing tension in my upper body.  Sometimes I chant with the music.  Chant the words, but also just chant Ohm.  Other time I use a special breathing method that I have been cultivating for the past year.  It is called, Tai Shin Ten or Yushiki Breathing Technique.  I am trying to draw out the length of my breath.  It seems like the chanter (Hein Braat) never stops to take a breath.  I stop and pull up my Tai Shin Ten.  As it rises along the inside of my back bone (seemingly by itself), the muscles of my inner legs come together.
The sound is so beautiful, sometimes tears come to my eyes.  The melody is in a major key, yet I feel something profoundly sad.  Every night I listen as I do something like yoga (Tai Shin Ten) and meditate.
