A dangerous day for eating smaller meals

I sort of had a bad day today.  As presents we got two boxes of sweets.  Have not opened one, but the one that I did open got eatten.  I finally gave most of it away.  But, once I eat one cookie, then I want some other snack.  The wave of desire builds.  I get worse and worse.  I saved myself by making a smoothie (carrot, wheat grass that I am growing in the back yard, 2 tomatoes) and a package of soybeans, some avacado and some german dark bread that I made the other day.  Also, with a lot of walking and bike riding. We don't have a car.

I use a website to keep track of how many calories I am using.  I am not very exact.  If it is a low calorie veggie, I just don't count it unless I am eating a lot.  I could the carbs, fats. The heavy stuff and research that pretty carefully.

Also, I use the iphone to figure out how far I biked and a pedometer to figure out how much I am walking per day.  The application Runtastics seems pretty good.  It stops measuring your movement when you stop moving.  It has GPS so it can do that.

I feel that keeping track keeps me a little more honest.  Also, I can use the exercise to subtract calories from my daily food intake.  It also reminds me on my iphone if I forget to make an entry that day.

We bought a fairly acurate scale.  Maybe that will help also.
